A sleek hardware controller ideal for remote control of software workstations like Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic Audio, Sonar, Reason etc. (has template presets for these onboard) operating via MIDI or direct USB computer connection. It offers eight phyical mixer channels with nine 100mm touch sensitive motor faders and panpot knobs, which are actually freely assignable continuous rotary controllers (12 in total). There is a professional scrub wheel, handy tape transport controls and bight red 8 digit LED timecode readout. It has 3 separate LCD displays of 2 x 40 charcters, ideal for labeling the chaneels. With Sac 2.2 you can control several programs and virtual instruments simultaneously, with the liberty to switch back and forth between them, and automate all your common contriols like EQ, send/return levels, fader moves, pans, location points, effects, synth patches selection etc. You don’t have to limit yourself to 8 physical channels either, by adding optional SAC-8Xexpansion units, you can build a16 or 24 channel controller (up to 192 tracks maximimum.) There’s also an optional SAC-5/3 router for control room 5.1 surround monitoring switching.
